Vacancies at City Bouldering

We’re obsessed with creating spaces and experiences that our community can come together and feel totally at home, because it’s in these states that we are able to perform at our best, break outside our comfort zones and have fun whilst doing it.

Are you keen to work as part of our fantastic team at City Bouldering?  If so, check out our current list of vacancies below.

The Role

An exciting role at City Bouldering aimed to get more people into climbing, build a community and spread the joy of climbing. The role can be either part time or full time depending on experience level.

Our Head Coach will be responsible for creating an atmosphere where customers can have fun, relax, meet new friends and old, and improve their fitness in an inclusive climbing environment, underpinned by the highest standards of safety, customer service and positive team engagement. Experience and passion for coaching children and youth would be a bonus.

You will work across both our Westfield and Aldgate locations, and soon at a third site too! The locations have different markets and offerings, so we’re looking for a coach who can lead across both:

  • Westfield has a strong kids offering and you will be responsible for growing our youth programs as well as the beginners climbing courses.
  • Aldgate coaching will be mainly focused on the adult market and helping people along their climbing journey in a social, friendly environment.

Currently we offer children's parties, introductions to climbing, family taster sessions, schools groups, NICAS, adult improver sessions along with tailored training packages.

We already have a number of in-house trained instructors that are eager to learn and the role would be heavily based around helping develop and motivate our coaching team.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an experienced and qualified climbing coach, with a positive attitude and a number of years experience in the climbing and coaching industry. We are looking for someone with experience and passion for youth and child coaching, as this is where the majority of our existing offering is focused.

Benefits

  • Competitive Package
  • Support through training and development goals
  • Flexible working hours
  • Free use of the climbing gym and facilities
